Today, the letter “S” is brought to you by… a childhood photo of me. Just kidding. But really, anyone who looks at a photo of me when I was that age says we are very much alike.
“I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph.” – Shirley Temple

Funny quote about Santa.
I loved the old movie Heidi when Shirley played the character. It was one of my favorites and none of the remakes can match that old monie.
I thought the quote was hilarious ha! And all of her movies were great!
I think this is my favorite! Well, next to “P.” And it does look just like you at that age. Fabulous job, my dear! You rock. You have always been my absolute favorite artist, since you were two!
Thank you momma! 🙂
What a beautiful sketch of Shirley Temple! I also remember her movies with fondness, and think your nice post does her justice. Thanks for sharing. AtoZer http://www.writer-way.blogspot.
Thank you so much Michelle!
Oh my I think I am #3:) Wonderful drawing of Little Ms Temple in her curly Top venture:) She had a good mom and family:) Once she got into her teens she fell out of favour but she was the biggest money maker and star in the 1930’s-above Clark Gable, Myrna Loy, Jean Harlow-everyone! She saved her studio from bankruptcy as well. She ended up being the American ambassador to Czechoslovakia and she did get breast cancer but survived it and helped bring this out for women’s causes. My mom was born in 1928 as well and loved her in all her movies even thought they were dubbed in German. So wonderful and the hands are done really well
Wow! I did not know all of that about her! That’s awesome! Thanks Birgit! And yes you are the third commenter so you get this print! And you’ve won a couple of other free signed prints so don’t forget to give me your contact info at lhrandalls.lr@gmail.com 🙂
Wow, that is fabulous! I love Shirley Temple – my mum had lots of move books with pictures of her and other stars in.
